Hello English Learners. Today’s conversation topic is “Making a Purchase”. Imagine you are making a purchase or shopping in the United States of America. What would you say? What would others say? Here are a few suggestions:
— You’re at the gas station, purchasing gas for your car. What would you say? What would the gas station attendant say?
— You’re at a department store, looking at jackets you would like to buy. The store salesperson asks you if you like the jackets. What would you tell the salesperson? What would the salesperson tell you?
— You’re at the neighborhood mall and you stop into a store. You wish to buy a notebook. What would you tell the store salesperson? What would the store salesperson tell you?
