Part 1: Directions: Watch the video, read the text below, then translate the text in your primary language and read it again.

Many people go out to the movies. Today’s conversation topic is “After the Movie”. Imagine you’re out with friends at a movie theater and then discuss what to do next. What would you say? What would your friends say? Here are a few suggestions.
— You’re out at the movies with your date. After the movie ends, you discuss what to do next. What would you say? What would your date say?
— You’re out with your friends at the movies. Although you all ate a lot of popcorn and drank a lot of soft drinks, you’re still hungry. What would you talk about? What would your friends say?
— The movie theater has uncomfortable chairs. You need to stretch out and walk. After you finish the movie, you talk with your date about going to a nearby park to stretch your legs. What would you say? What would your date say?
Many people go out to the movies during evenings. What do you do after the movies end? Do you go out walking, or do you eat out at a restaurant?

Dialog 21: At the Movies

  • Bob:                   We’d like two tickets for the 3:30 show, please.
  • Ticket Sales:     Here you go. Enjoy the movie!

[Inside the theater]

  • Bob:                   Would you mind moving over one, so my friend and I can sit  together?
  • Woman:            No, not at all.
  • Bob:                   Thanks a lot!

    Exercise: at the movie.

    F1) Hey guys, what can we do after movie?
    F2) I don’t know. May be we could go to the Central Square to strech lur legs.
    F3) Yeah, may be. But I think it’s better go out for a taste and delicious “tapas” with some cold and large beers. Don’t we?
    Me) Good idea, so why don’t we go to the “Frank Tasca” that is across the Central Park”, just at the end of the Boulevard.

    Ali : It was a good movie , Noel .
    Noel : yes, the story was really interesting .
    Ali : And the acting was amazing.
    Noel: The ending was so touching but sweet.
    Ali: Yes, you are right. I am hungry, let’s have something to eat.
    Noel: me too, we did not have even popcorn during the movie.
    Ali: yes, what would you like to eat, I mean Pakistani food or Indian food.
    Noel: I love Pakistani food.
    Ali: I am also crazy about Pakistani food.
    Noel : let’s go to a Pakistani restaurant . It is very nearfrom here.

    Date: I’m agree with you, I think it’s too early, and I would like to go to drink a cup of coffee, would you?
    Me: of course, let’s go.
