Hello, English Learners. Today’s conversation topic is “Catching Up After Class”. Imagine that you’re talking with colleagues from school. What would you talk about? Here are a few suggestions.

  1. You’re at the school cafeteria and you’re talking with your colleagues about a vocabulary test you just finished. What would you tell your colleagues? What would your colleagues tell you?
  2. You’ve just completed your school day and you’re walking home with a couple of your colleagues. What would you tell your colleagues? What would your colleagues tell you?
  3. Your math class is over and you approach a colleague to ask her to meet and study together for the upcoming math exam. What would you ask your colleague? What would your colleague tell you?
    It’s important to have good relations with your colleagues and communicate with them clearly and respectfully so that you may collaborate together well on school work.

      Colleague 1: Oh yes I delivered in class.
      Colleague 2: I couldn’t finish on time my research, but the teacher gave me a chance to finish it and give it him tomorrow, what about you?
      Me: Like you, I couldn’t finish too, and the teacher told me I can give it him tomorrow.
      Colleague 2: Great! , Would you like to joing me tonight early and help us each other to finish the work?

    ( Ali is waiting for his friend Ibrahim outside the school cafeteria. As soon as Ali saw him , he gave Ibrahim a smile.)
    Ali : Hey, How did your vocabulary exam go ? ( the expression on Ibrahim’s face made Ali sad )
    Ibrahim : Hey , Ali , How are you ?
    Ali : I am well. Did everything go well?
    Ibrahim : Yes , But not very well.
