Hello, students. Today’s conversation topic is “Can You Say That Again”. Sometimes during conversations you are asked to repeat yourself to be better understood by others. Here are a few suggestions:
— You’re on the phone talking to a colleague who doesn’t understand clearly what you’re saying. What would you say to your colleague? What would your colleague say to you?
— You’re on your cell phone in a bad reception area and your colleague asks you to repeat yourself since she can’t hear you clearly. What would you say to your colleague? What would your colleague say to you?
— You’re at the airport, calling your family. Your family can’t hear you well because of the noise in the airport. What would you say to your family? What would your family say to you?
It’s important to stay calm and communicate slowly and clearly when someone asks you to repeat yourself. Sometimes, people can’t hear you clearly and you have to help them understand.
