Conversation Topics for English Learners: At the Bank

Most people go to a bank to save their money. Today’s conversation topic is “At the Bank”. Imagine you’re at a bank having conversations. What would you say? What would others say? Here are a few suggestions:
— You want to start a new checking account and you’re talking with a bank teller. What would you say? What would the bank teller tell you?
— You want to transfer money from your savings account to your checking account. What would you ask? What would the bank teller say?
— You’re trying to borrow money to buy a home. You’re talking to a loan officer to get the loan. What would you say to the loan officer? What would the loan officer tell you?
Becoming financially responsible means knowing how to save and spend money using financial institutions such as banks. Do your best to communicate in clear, formal English when communicating in English at a bank.
